Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 4, 2026

1. Introduction

SnapPaid ("SnapPaid," "we," "us") provides an invoicing and proof-of-work app for independent service workers. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using SnapPaid you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Information you provide

  • Account: name, email, password credentials, and payment handles you choose to add (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle).
  • Client details you enter: a client's name and phone number, used solely to deliver your invoice link to that client.
  • Proof media: photos and videos you capture for a job, plus the time, date, and approximate location captured at that moment.
  • Communications: messages you send us (e.g., support requests).

3. Information collected automatically

Device identifiers, app version, basic usage and diagnostic/crash data, and approximate location at the time of capture (used only to stamp proof). We do not track you across other apps or websites and do not use third-party advertising trackers.

4. How proof media is stored and shared

Proof media you capture is uploaded to secure private storage and made accessible only to the specific client you choose to send an invoice link to, through a private, unguessable link. A cryptographic hash (digital fingerprint) is stored to verify the file has not been altered. Proof is not public, not indexed, and not sold or shared with any other party. You control whether to capture and send it.

5. How we use information

To: create and send invoices; display your proof to your chosen client; enable clients to pay you directly through their selected third-party app; operate, secure, and improve the app; respond to support; and comply with law. We process this data to perform our service to you and for our legitimate interest in operating and securing SnapPaid.

6. Payments — important

SnapPaid is NOT a bank, money transmitter, or payment processor. We never hold, touch, route, or take a percentage of your money. All payments are made directly between you and your client through third-party apps (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle), each governed by its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for those apps, their fees, their availability, or the outcome of any payment, refund, chargeback, or dispute. Any fees charged by those apps depend on account type and payment settings we do not control.

7. Proof is a record, not a guarantee

Proof captured in SnapPaid is a time-, date-, and location-stamped record that a photo or video was taken. It is not a legal determination, certification, or guarantee that any work was performed or performed to any standard. SnapPaid makes no representation about how any third party (a client, court, or platform) may treat or weigh this record. Use it as documentation, not as legal advice or adjudication.

8. Sharing & disclosure

We share data only with: (a) service providers who host our infrastructure under confidentiality obligations (e.g., cloud database/storage); (b) the specific client you send an invoice to (your proof and invoice details); (c) authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or prevent fraud; and (d) a successor in a merger or acquisition. We do NOT sell your personal information.

9. Data retention & deletion

We retain your jobs, invoices, and proof so you keep a record, until you delete them or close your account. You can delete any proof or invoice in the app at any time. To delete your account and associated data, email snappaidapp@gmail.com; we will process deletion as required by applicable law, subject to records we must retain for legal or security reasons.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, object to or restrict processing, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. California residents: we do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any right, contact snappaidapp@gmail.com.

11. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, private storage). No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

SnapPaid is intended only for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it. (Note: while SnapPaid serves workers in childcare and similar fields, the app is used by the adult worker — not by children.)

13. International users

SnapPaid is operated in the United States. If you use it elsewhere, you consent to processing your data in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

14. Third-party links

The app and pay pages may link to third-party payment apps. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

15. Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be notified in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
