Terms of Service
Last updated: June 4, 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using SnapPaid ("SnapPaid," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be 18 or older.
2. What SnapPaid is
SnapPaid is a tool for independent service workers to create invoices, capture proof of work, and send a payment link to their clients. SnapPaid is software only.
3. What SnapPaid is NOT
SnapPaid is not a bank, money transmitter, payment processor, escrow service, or party to any transaction between you and your client. We never hold, route, touch, or take a percentage of your money. All payments occur directly between you and your client through third-party apps (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle), each governed by its own terms. We are not responsible for those apps, their fees, availability, or any payment, non-payment, refund, chargeback, or dispute. Any fees those apps charge depend on account type and settings we do not control.
4. Proof is a record, not a guarantee
Proof captured in SnapPaid is a time-, date-, and location-stamped record that a photo or video was taken. It is NOT a certification, legal determination, or guarantee that work was performed or performed to any standard, and we make no representation about how any client, platform, court, or authority will treat or weigh it. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of what you capture and represent to your clients.
5. Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for: the work you perform; the accuracy of your invoices and proof; your own tax, licensing, insurance, and legal obligations; the accuracy of payment handles you enter; obtaining any consent needed to photograph or record a location; and complying with all laws. SnapPaid does not provide tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice.
6. Acceptable use
You will not use SnapPaid to defraud, harass, or mislead anyone; to upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; to impersonate others; or to violate any third-party app's terms. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
SnapPaid is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that proof or invoices will achieve any particular result.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapPaid and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost payments, unpaid invoices, disputed transactions, or data loss, arising from your use of the app. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SnapPaid and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your work, your content, your proof, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.
10. Subscriptions
Paid plans (if offered) renew automatically until cancelled, are billed through the app store, and are subject to the app store's terms. You can manage or cancel in your app store account settings.
11. Termination
You may stop using SnapPaid and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to comply with law.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms and will revise the "Last updated" date; continued use means acceptance.
13. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [STATE/COUNTY]. [Optional: consider an arbitration + class-action-waiver clause — ask your attorney.]
